We found a
Honda Civic video that caught our eye on
YouTube. This wasn't any ordinary
car video. The camera movements were very smooth and blended with the music really well. It made a seemingly ordinary modified Honda Civic to something unforgettable. The slow camera pans created a mood.
After reading the comments we discovered the
IndiSLIDERMini by
Studio 4 Productions was used to create this effect. The slider has become very popular among indie filmmakers making it easy to create what is often referred to as a "
reveal shot". A reveal shot is where the camera is positioned close behind an object then smoothly slid over to reveal a more expansive view.
The
indiSLIDERmini is a complete camera sliding system that has an integral camera mount and is light enough to attach directly to a tripod head.
With a starting price of $99, the indiSLIDERmini is the most affordable slider. The slider would add more dimensions and variety to our car video projects. We decided to purchase the
indiSLIDERmini DELUXE.
Stay tuned for a

It's hard to be believe it's been 40 years since the release of the
Datsun 240Z. The Z-car went on hiatus from 1996 to 2002, as
Nissan focused on SUVs. In the summer of 2002, the 350Z was released. The
Nissan 350Z was a success with a slightly improved
VQ35DE V6 motor shared with other Nissan models. In 2009, Nissan debuted the
370Z. The six-speed manual is the first manual gearbox to feature '
synchro-rev matching,' which automatically blips the throttle to simulate heel and toe shifting.
At this years
2010 Chicago Auto Show,
Nissan displayed its new 4
0th Anniversary Edition of its
370Z. This car was previously introduced in Japan last October. Based on the
Nissan 370Z Coupe Touring, the 40th Anniversary Edition adds a unique Graphite paint job, Nissan's Sport Package – which includes a manual transmission with
SynchroRev Match, front spoiler, rear spoiler, upgraded brakes and 19-inch
RAYS wheels.
Inside, the 40th Anniversary model comes equipped with a unique leather and suede trim on the seats and doors with red accent stitching on the seats, steering wheel, shifter, console boot and instrument panel upper box.
This
40th Anniversary 370Z is sure to be a collectors item.

I'm going to admit I'm not a big
Ford Mustang fan. It's hard for me to enjoy a sports car that you can see almost everyday on the road. The Ford Mustang's heritage has contributed to the success of Ford. Last year, Ford redesigned the Mustang. The Mustang received a thoroughly revised exterior, with only the roof panel being retained, that is sculpted for a leaner, more muscular appearance and better aerodynamic performance. It has a more aggressive look in my opinion.
Just two weeks ago
Ford unveiled the
2011 Mustang Shelby GT500. For 2011, the SVT and Shelby-engineered muscle coupe gets an
all-aluminum version of its existing
5.4 liter V8 for added performance. This new engine is good for a 102 pound weight decrease, as well as 10 horsepower increase over the 2010 model – putting total output at 550 horsepower and 510 lb-ft. of torque.
According to Ford the
2011 Shelby GT500 will be the first modern Shelby without a gas guzzler tax, thanks to the EPA-projected 15 mpg city, and 23 mpg highway ratings. The 2011 Shelby GT500 shares some engine similarities to the discontinued Ford GT. Ford says that the
2011 Shelby GT500 engine will exceed Ford GT performance due to its superior
supercharger technology. Ford also pointed out that it has changed the exhaust system for 2011 – the new 2.75 inch exhaust helped contribute to the 10 hp increase and a more aggressive tone.
The overall changes from the previous model are significant. I'm very impressed with what I see... The silver and orange stripes color scheme looks "hot". With its stunning looks and impressive motor upgrades this car will run circles around the
Chevy Camaro SS.
Ford and
Shelby definitely have a hit in their hands.
