Last week Apple released a new version of it's professional photography software,
Aperture 3 to the public. This new version of Aperture has
200 new features and has been receiving glowing reviews.
iPhoto '09 features such as
Faces,
Places and the ability to export to
flickr and
Facebook are now available in Aperture 3.
The biggest news is the ability to make local adjustments with the
Brushes tool. You can retouch images and apply adjustments directly onto them. Apple offers 15 variants for the instances Burn, Dodge, Polarize and Blur detecting edges in images. The new adjustment presets gives can give your photo a wide range of looks without breaking a sweat. Another exciting addition is the
HD Video integration. Photographers who aren't video savvy with Apple Final Cut and Apple iMovie can edit a simple video within Aperture 3.
Aperture 3 is now available for 30 day free trial version and if you like it you can purchase it for
$199. If you are an existing user and want to upgrade, you can do it only for
$99.
