Yesterday Frank test shot the KWIKFILMS Toyota Supra
at the Olympic Training Center
parking lot. He wanted footage to experiment slow motion techniques in Final Cut Studio 7
using Cinema Tools.. The clip below was shot at 720p/60 frames then "conforming" the clips to 23.97 frames.
It was about two years ago when this video was made. At that time, KWIKFILMS
was just starting out. We attended a good amount of local car meets. Most of our car meets consisted of Toyota Supra
I first met David Jaquel at one of the car meet in Mission Valley. At that time he was non-turbo with a killer bronze 5-zigen wheels
. David is one of those Supra owners that you want to be around. You can say that he really "loved"
his Supra to the point that he saved up and did a full twin turbo motor swap.
Although he enjoyed being in the United States he had to go back to France. David packed his belongings and sold his Supra. This video was created as a small little tribute to his first
The rain didn't stop Toyota Supra owners from going to the Supra Appreciation Day
at SP Engineering
. Supras from all over southern California showed off their rides. Well renowned Supra owner Ken Henderson showcased both his Renaissance Red BPU Monster and his famous black Supra.
Alex Shen, the owner of SP Engineering (SPE), founded SPE in 1996, about one-year after purchasing his 1995 six-speed, alpine silver MKIV Supra turbo. In honor of the Supra’s role in the growth and development of SPE, Alex has determined that a Supra Appreciation Day on Saturday, February 6, 2010 would be the best way to celebrate the car we all know and love and to give back to the community that has been so instrumental in the growth of his company.
